SR.Mobile Automation Engineer

Location: Hopkins, Minnesota | Irving, Texas | Atlanta, Georgia | Brookfield, Wisconsin | San Francisco, California
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience in mobile apps automation and candidate should have knowledge of full system life cycles.
  • Candidate must have a strong background with experience in iOS/Android native applications, back-end scripting and automation using Selenium and Appium.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and tools are required.
  • Ability to lead a team of Automation developer and should be able to work well individually as well as in a highly collaborative multi-functional team and drive high quality deliverables.
  • Conducting code reviews, maintaining code quality, ensuring consistency to coding standards and working with platform team to align with enterprise standards and merge the code.
  • Candidate must be working as senior Test Analyst and hands on experience in Java.
  • Work closely with developers, professional services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software.
  • Assist with design of test scenarios and test plans to ensure that automated tests can be implemented and completed.
  • Assist with creating project resource estimates, metrics to track completion phase, defect reports, defect prevention, development efficiency and quality.
  • Chips in to an atmosphere of multi-functional collaboration within the organizations Agile project lifecycle. Implement automated testing on both iOS/Android and back end systems.
  • Ability to test at an API level such as via Web Services, JMS Queue, or other back end service.
  • Run test validations at different levels including DB validation, logging validation, and UI validation.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environment.
Roles/Responsibilities:
  • Participating in all agile ceremonies.
  • Coordinate with Offshore / onsite teams.
  • Co-ordinate with client and business to collect the requirements.
  • Co-ordinate with business analysts to clarify the requirements.
  • Setup automation framework
  • Write test plan and cases for in scope requirements/user stories.
  • Script automation code for candidate test cases
  • Implement the automation code.
  • Prepare test data
Must Have Skills
  • Execute automated testing on both iOS/Android and back end systems
  • Automation using Selenium and Appium
Work Authorization:

Salary and other compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,500- $92,50000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
