Sr Network Engineer

Akkodis is partnering with a global leader in innovative technology, specializing in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of cutting-edge products in the energy, transportation, and manufacturing sectors. They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer.

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Washoe County, NV

Pay Rate: $50-70/hr on W2

Term: Contract
Role Summary:

• Provide network engineering, implementation, analytical, and operational support in a global enterprise environment.
• Ensure compliance with system architecture, regulations, security policies, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Staff Network Engineers and manufacturing teams to gather requirements and design networking solutions.
• Serve as a Tier-2/3 escalation point for network troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Monitor and report network service metrics, maintain support documentation, and contribute to knowledge base and operational run-book.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in mid-to-large global enterprise networking infrastructure.
• Expertise in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN, and network security technologies (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper).
• Proficiency in multi-vendor switching technologies (Juniper, Cisco), and infrastructure cabling (CAT6, Fiber).
• Experience with troubleshooting tools (e.g., Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, IPAM, Splunk) and scripting for automation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour
