The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting this client's Oracle database and ensuring operational readiness (security, health, and performance). In addition, they will supporting multiple development teams, and troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues as they arise. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience with Oracle Database Management
- Mastery in installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle server software and related products. Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
- Experience with High Availability Solutions: Implement and manage solutions like Oracle RAC and Data Guard to ensure continuous database availability and disaster recovery.
- Backup and Recovery: Utilize Oracle RMAN for efficient backup strategies and perform recovery from hardware or software failures with minimal data loss.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code. Use Oracle tools to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
- Database Security: Enforce security best practices to protect data integrity and confidentiality. This includes managing user access and auditing database activities.
- Linux/Unix Proficiency: Operate comfortably in Linux/Unix environments. This includes scripting for automation and task scheduling.
- Scripting Skills: Develop scripts in languages like Java, Python, or Shell to automate routine tasks, integrate systems, and enhance database functionality.
