What You'll Do

As our Senior Partner Marketing Manager, you have the opportunity to bring tremendous impact and innovation to Avalara. You will be extremely strategic, requiring exceptional planning and executional skills. You will be partner-facing and this role presents the opportunity to truly own driving a new phase of partnership marketing at Avalara.

You will be reporting to our Partner Marketing Director, ERP, and this role can remain 100% remote within the United States.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • You will be the strategic owner of the partner marketing plan with key Avalara partnerships, with the goal to drive MQL's, revenue growth and partnership success
  • Develop custom co-branded go-to-market strategies for key partners and execute on all elements of the demand mix, including content marketing, social media, webinars, email campaigns, digital advertising, and events.
  • Establish shared goals, quarterly calendar, marketing commitments with key named partnerships
  • Build relationships with marketing counterparts and key stakeholders - both internal and external
  • Coordinate campaign strategy and execution with key cross-functional internal Marketing contacts
  • Measure and deliver positive ROI on major marketing programs following goals and objectives and share performance of programs and activities with key stakeholders and partners
  • Support business critical processes such as managing budget, comprehensive co-marketing calendar, quarterly plans, QBR's and update meetings (internal and external)

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive partner marketing strategy aligned with our business goals.
  • Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with partners, understand their needs, and foster mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Marketing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, including campaign development, branding, and messaging, to create joint marketing initiatives with partners.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and make data-driven decisions.
  • Industry Knowledge: An understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape to stay ahead of industry developments and identify new opportunities for partnership.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, especially as partner landscapes and market conditions evolve.
  • Positive mindset: Working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity at times
  • You will bring 7+ years of partner marketing experience, B2B preferred
