Sr. Principal Ballistics Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Principal Ballistics Engineer to support a Solid Rocket Motor OEM client of ours. The role involves spearheading the initiation, progression, and actualization of technological research initiatives. It encompasses assessing the practicality of harnessing scientific theories and methodologies for innovative applications and merchandise. The position entails strategizing and conducting targeted research. The individual will offer authoritative guidance across the spectrum of Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) development endeavors. Accountability for the absolute success of missions is a key aspect, achieved through strategic technical choices and the utilization of engineering discipline expertise. This leadership position entails overseeing the conception, advancement, and evaluation of SRM products. Acting as the engineering ambassador within the Integrated Product Team (IPT), this role commands the engineering contingent and acts as the principal technical liaison for both in-house and external stakeholders. They will drive applied research to the program from development to production stages.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- 10+ years of experience with tactical solid rocket motors
- Strong understanding of ballistics, ballistics analysis and the innerworkings of tactical rocket motors
- Experience initiating the design, development, execution and implementation of R&D projects related to rocket motors
Excellent analytical and technical skills
