Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Key job responsibilities

• \tOwn Kuiper's global customer terminal (CT) forecast, translating long range plans into short range forecasts to inform material purchase and build decisions in monthly build meetings

• \tDefine and deliver a system architecture, that integrates top-down and bottoms-up forecasting processes, across customer segments and regions, translating sales forecasts into financial models for OP1/OP2/QXG exercises and build tables to drive MBMs

• \tBridge forecast changes and updates to assumptions in monthly demand reviews

• \tDefine and deliver a day-level demand plan, integrated with upstream systems, and used to drive inventory placement decisions

• \tDefine performance-to-plan reporting and instrumentation requirements, to enable stakeholders to self-serve and conduct deep dive analysis post-launch

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- 5+ years experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- 5+ years experience managing technical products or online services

- 5+ years experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making

- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

- Experience with capacity management and/or demand planning functions

- Experience running simulations, conducting advanced statistical modeling, and/or working with machine learning algorithms

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
