Job Profile

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Management Value Analysis (VA) Senior Product and Contract Utilization Manager will assist the Operations Manager and Administrative Director of Supply Chain Management in ensuring the Harris Health System's product and contract utilization initiatives receive support from multidisciplinary VAC teams. The position assists departments of the Harris Health Supply Chain Management procurement process for Hospital Supplies and services for assigned departments. This position will frequently consult with clinicians, Medical Technology group, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, IT, Facility Systems Engineer and Planning, Pharmacy, Vendors and other stakeholders as required. Employee will utilize project management methodologies to manage product and contract selection through VA processes and expedite supply project completion. Employee will assess Harris Health System Supply Chain processes for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness for cost reductions. Evaluates, proposes, and leads Clinical Department expense-reduction and Utilization Management efforts relating to Supply Chain activities. The Senior Product and Contract Utilization Manager proposes strategic opportunities to enhance existing Supply Chain Systems platforms and provides project close out and administrative review as required. Identifies, provides finished reporting, score boards for operational and executive review. Communicates recommendations in changes to project scope, budget, resource utilization and timeline with reasonable advance notice to Operations Manager and the Director as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or in Healthcare-related field with demonstrated proficiency in management of Business systems, Supply Chain Management and spreadsheet applications.
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred.

Work Experience
  • Eight plus (8+) years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Six (6) years of experience working with purchasing and inventory management systems, strategic sourcing, and spreadsheet application.
  • Five plus (5+) years of experience in business process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.


Management Experience :
Five plus (5+) years of experience in Supply Chain Management Roles.
Equipment Operated:
PCs, Office Equipment, Printer, Terminals
