As a Sr Product Manager Technical on this team, you will get an exciting opportunity to structure and solve challenging business problems. In the course of this adventure, this role will mine very large data sets for business insights that extract insights on distinct trends in the adoptions of AWS services by geography, segment, and territories to determine various long-term strategies that meaningfully impact AWS. You will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems, and innovate with creative-problem solving to deliver actionable output to senior leaders. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, a penchant to explain findings backed by sound statistical techniques, expound on the business impact of findings, and have an ability to collaborate as well as effectively influence cross-functional teams.

Key job responsibilities

- Perform analytical tasks consuming managed environments using third-party and/or in-house reporting tools in order to enable stakeholders manage region expansion strategy with effective insights and decisions

- Work with regional strategy managers to understand and document the business requirements

- Identify causal elements behind business trends and answer complex business questions with statistical techniques/business rigor

- Develop Excel based models to provide user friendly interfaces for business stakeholders and provide short- or long-term business projections from business insights

- Help senior stakeholders draft aspirational north star goals with effective time phased input goals and concrete metrics to track progress/course correct as required

About the team

The International Product Management (IPM) team leads initiatives relating to the expansion, growth, and performance of general-purpose AWS infrastructure regions and the geographies that may host infrastructure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems, business administration, or equivalent.

- 2 years of experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel, and other tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

- Experience as a Business/Financial Analyst or Systems Analyst in a company with large, complex data sources

- Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR and Apache Spark

- Experience using advanced Machine Learning and AI tools (e.g., Sagemaker, Bedrock)

- Experience with software coding practices is a strong plus

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
