Global Talent Management and Compensation is looking for a Sr. Product Manager - Tech to lead of our global Embark product, and broaden how we think about onboarding today by expanding our world-class experience to more Amazonians embarking on next steps in their career development.

In this role, you'll be the product leader for Embark, an employee facing portal to accelerate onboarding. Embark delivers a consistent, high quality and personalized onboarding experience for Amazon L3+ employees worldwide. There is the potential to expand the portal beyond onboarding and into the overall employee lifecycle as well. Embark automates time-intensive manual tasks for managers such as pre-populating launch plans for a new hire based on attributes such as job code or location, recommending relevant content, and recommending people to connect with.

We are looking for a seasoned product manager with a passion for the Amazon employee experience to expand Embark, and its components, in new ways, such as dis-embarking and re-embarking. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and skilled in working in a global matrixed environment. Key stakeholders include Embark tech team, other GTMC product teams, managers, employees, and a variety of HR tech teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for Embark onboarding and develop the strategy to expand it into the full employee lifecycle

• Create buy-in for the product/feature/service vision and strategy both internally and with key partners

• Define product and service features and business requirements to deliver on the strategy and vision

• Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, site performance and operational support load

• Drive internal product launches including working with global teams

• Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic and technical goals

• A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the manager and employee feedback to continue to improve the Embark portal experience

• Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment, including rapid growth

• The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results

• Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence

• Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization

• The ability to translate a passion for the employee experience into tangible improvements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience managing technical products or online services

- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
