Amazon's last mile operations deliver billions of packages annually to our customers. The goal of Last Mile's Delivery Operations Program Management Team is to enable our Delivery Associates and Delivery Service Partners by 1) ensuring they have world class technology and processes that meet applicable DOT regulations, and by 2) identifying improvement opportunities through engagement and working backwards to address them to the highest standard in a timely fashion. To meet this goal, we continually innovate by working with Operations, Technology, Transportation Risk and Compliance, DSP Program, Fleet, Workplace Health & Safety, and Training teams.

We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager who will work across these teams to design and deliver technology solutions, provide operations support, and bring visibility into compliance health through using or streamlining existing tools, or developing new ones. This role will have direct impact on Last Mile DOT compliance scores and therefore carries high visibility. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high energy environment who is equally at home working with operations to solve tactical issues and writing, presenting program updates to senior leaders.

This role can be at our Bellevue or at Nashville corporate office and will be have a mix of onsite + remote depending on the need.

Key job responsibilities

- Identify current gaps and needs : use existing reporting systems, dive-deep into Amazon systems, gather feedback from support teams and DA, DSPs to identify improvement opportunities.

- Build system, process solutions : work across teams to define best-in-class technology or process solution to address identified gaps. The role will involve both designing, leading programs as well as being a key member of programs driven by other teams.

- Scale existing systems and process: proactively identify potential bottlenecks, define end-state vision, and work across teams to achieve that vision.

- Provide operations support: own programmatic and tactical tasks in compliance field to ensure Operations faces no barrier in exceeding their end-customer commitment.

- Change management: prepare and execute clear and complete communication plan to ensure all key partners are well informed of the change with sufficient notice period. Make sure relevant teams and leaders are aware of progress by sharing updates in various leadership review forums.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Bachelor's degree

- Excellent ability to communicate complex ideas in written and verbal communication understood by specialists and non-specialists alike with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior leaders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- PMP certificate

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

- Working experience in Fleet, Department of Transportation, Operations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
