Sr. QA Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to lead our QA team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in QA engineering, with a strong background in video testing, firmware embedded testing, and automation. This role involves organizing test suites strategically, conducting risk-based testing, and providing detailed reporting during the test execution cycle. The candidate will also help establish and grow the testing environment, particularly for custom hardware running AndroidTV.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of firmware embedded testing experience
Experience with devices such as DVR, Firestick, AndroidTV, TIVO, or Roku
Knowledge of app streaming testing
Design, Develop and Execute test cases and test suites focusing on efficiency and maintainability strategically designed for Automation.
Create strategic core test plans with meaningful test steps and expected results based on functional requirement and User Stories
Create actionable Defects collaborating across stakeholders on priority and criticality
Participate in SDLC standard ceremonies, process and procedures
Produce a consistent Daily Status Report during testing activities
Produce a Final Project Test Summary when completing a Test Cycle/Project.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of Video 101: Validation through core Video features like Linear Playback, DVR, VOD, PPV, Trickplay etc.
Strong knowledge of Streaming 101: ABR, DAI, Entitlements, Blackouts etc.
Experience testing apps on an AndroidTV: GOTA, retrieving log files etc.
