The Sr. SAP ABAP Technical Analyst will participate in a cross-functional team environment as a key member of the Shared Applications Team responsible for the core Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) SAP S/4HANA 2022 environment.

This position is responsible for the design, implementation, support, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP development functions for the various SAP modules implemented at DFA. Partner with the implementation and support teams in gathering technical requirements and delivering technical solutions. Provide input on system design, integration testing, and post go-live support as needed. Coordination with team members and external consultants. Follow best practices that support business requirements and deliverables, using approved DFA development and change control methodology.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ABAP programs for the various SAP modules implemented
  • Ability to interpret functional specifications and convert them into technical solutions that can be implemented and supported
  • Active participation with Shared Applications team members in the design, development, documentation, performance testing, and implementation of technical business solutions
  • Maintain a working knowledge of advancing technologies and freely exchange new ideas and suggestions for improvement
  • Good understanding of SAP related master data
  • Follow DFA Development, Governance and Project Management standards

Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing and modifying applications utilizing ABAP programming language
  • Experience with developing and implementing application in support of end-user functionality
  • Strong understanding of object oriented programming techniques
  • Experience with Fiori, SAPUI5, CDS views, OData Services, Cloud Platform, HANA DB, implementing and extending standard SAP Fiori Apps
  • Experience with Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP S/4HANA Development environment
  • Exposure to ABAP development within a variety of SAP modules including SD, FICO, WM, MM, PP, HCM, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP development best practices
  • Experience in all types of ABAP development (reports, enhancements, interfaces, function modules, workflow, classes and module pools)
  • Experience working with BADI's, enhancement points, BAPIs, IDOCs, and Web services
  • Strong understanding of ABAP objects (Object Oriented concepts)
  • Experience with SAPScript, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms
  • Working knowledge of at least 2 computer languages
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio and JavaScript is a plus
