Through understanding of Material's Process-Structure-Properties relationships they store, link, and predict existing material properties. This same expertise also enables Materials Engineering to develop new materials and processes that revolutionize Tesla's products.
The way we store, link, and use materials information is critical to the development of new materials and products. As a software engineer working on our materials application, you will be responsible for managing the multiple systems powering many day to day engineering activities and R&D efforts that generate, store, and consume Materials data. You will also be responsible for building out or incorporating new systems and data sources as well as automation of material testing and certification data.
