The GP Manufacturing Software Development organization is looking for a Sr Software Engineer to continue to grow our custom Computerized Maintenance Management System team. This team supports one large custom .NET CMMS hosted in AWS and a number of ancillary applications that support or interface with the core system. The technical stack is spread across the spectrum from mature to nascent technologies with .NET and JavaScript being the primary skills you bring to the table. Functionally, this team works directly with multiple IT business representative groups in Asset Maintenance, Procurement and Stores/Warehousing representing roughly 150 manufacturing facilities spread across the continental United States. The development team is a diverse mix of skills and experience from recent college graduates to 20-year industry veterans spread between the US and India. This role will bring a seasoned level of experience in building, testing, debugging, deploying and maintaining large complex applications in .NET, with experience in React being a huge plus for the newer platform applications. Besides advanced technical skills we seek someone willing to effectively challenge existing methodologies and patterns and who enjoys discussing alternatives with their colleagues and leaders.

This role is open to candidates in the Atlanta metro area with an expectation of being in-office 1-2 days a week and/or as-needed.

What You Will Do
  • Work with functional counterparts to understand and refine functional requirements
  • Work with other senior colleagues and technical leads to define technical requirements for software solutions
  • Provide estimates for technical solutions
  • Implement code changes
  • Perform manual confirmation testing of software implementations
  • Create or update configurations required for application deployments
  • Debug, troubleshoot and repair application issues triaged by the functional team
  • Participate in an Agile work process to include standups, daily updates, sprint planning, retrospectives and PI planning
  • Provide feedback and informal mentorship to less experienced development team members


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience implementing software solutions in .NET (both VB.NET and C#)
  • Experience with SQL Server stored procedures •
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience working on Agile Scrum teams


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Amazon Web Services certification or commensurate experience (ecs, ec2, lambda, s3)
  • Experience with React
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with Progressive Web Applications (PWA), particularly on Android
