Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying 2 Senior Construction Manager (Superintendent) for a direct hire opportunity in both Cincinnati, OH and Chicago, IL areas. This role is primarily responsible is to execute projects from start to finish; the ability to complete project on-time, within budget and exceeds customer expectations. The Senior Field Superintendent manages all trades and daily activities related to the project, ensure materials are delivered and installed, keep site clean and safe.

Participating in pre-construction planning sessions by trade to familiarize yourself with the unique characteristics of the schedule and trade interface.
Becoming knowledgeable about the scope of all subcontract agreements.
Ensuring timely delivery of materials to the construction site according to the construction schedule.
Maintaining daily logs, weekly reports, and progress photographs.
Overseeing and making decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
Coordinating work among assigned trades to promote a smooth project operation.
Resolving local area problems regarding procedures, design clarifications, labor and equipment, and schedule, among other matters.
Managing the overall site safety program and ensuring subcontractor compliance with safety codes and regulations.
Creating schedules and determining the sequencing of work, implementing recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
Advising the Project Manager of circumstances and issues that will significantly impact the project schedule.
Documenting issues and problems, identifying responsible parties for resolution.
Ensuring all updated documents for site operations plan are in place, including safety manuals, daily logs, visitor logs, emergency action plans, and more.
Compiling and scheduling punch list items for completion.
Ensuring resolution of any quality issues.
Verifying that change orders are outside the subcontractors' scope of work.
Mentoring and developing Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents to excel in their roles.
Managing the scope of work to ensure compliance with approved contract documents.
Inspecting contractor or subcontract operations to ensure contract compliance.
Maintaining positive working relationships with all trades.
Developing and maintaining a site logistics plan in coordination with the Project Manager.
Serving as the point of contact for project management staff, subcontractors, building owners and managers, building engineers, architects, and more.
Coordinating site testing and inspection efforts.
Demonstrating commitment to maintaining an Injury-Free Environment through personal actions and mentoring.

Required Skills & Experience

Comfortable with 100% travel to client industrial sites, but will have local work as well
Projects mostly in mid-west, but can be in other places (projects currently in Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, mid-west, Iowa, Texas, Florida)
Experience working onsite for industrial construction projects.
10+ years of superintendent experience
Comfortable with taking care of expenses on personal credit card.
Will be paid out 2x a month.
