Amazon Freight is looking for an entrepreneurial minded leader to join our growing start up business as a Senior Supply Chain Manager. The right candidate will thrive in ambiguous environments, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have experience and success with operating within a growing high performing team and will be able to interface with senior leaders. In this role, you will responsible for optimizing the company's scheduling operations to drive down costs and enable continued business growth. Your focus will be on analyzing key inputs to lower transportation costs and improve customer experience and sustain the improvements through robust process improvement methodologies.

Through rigorous data analysis, this individual will identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the scheduling processes. Applying advanced data analysis techniques, they will discern controllable and uncontrollable factors impacting cost and efficiency, then design simple solutions to address the root causes. They implement Lean principles to drive continuous improvement, streamlining operator workflows, and support a product roadmap to automated scheduling.

As this manager unlocks transportation and labor cost savings through these process enhancements, they will reduce our cost to serve and enable the business to expand into more complex operations. The new business challenges will spur the need for further process improvements, creating an ongoing cycle of optimization. Their data-driven, process-oriented approach will be critical for establishing the scalable, efficient foundations needed to support this growth for years to come.

Throughout this work, this individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - across product, sales, business analytics and operations. By serving as the process expert and primary point of contact, they will effectively communicate data-driven insights to drive alignment and decision-making. Their strategic thinking and influencing skills will be essential as they work to impact organizational priorities and goals.

You will partner closely with the Product, Operations, and Sales teams and will routinely communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across the Amazon Freight organization to deliver best-in-class experiences for our customers. Key job responsibilities

- Demonstrate strong Customer focus

- Make sound business judgments to drive both tactical as well as strategic improvements

- Own programmatic execution to reduce scheduling process total handle time and cost per order

- Identify, prioritize, and implement processes to eliminate defects in Amazon Freight's load scheduling workflows

- Create, develop, and drive solutions that lower transportation costs for end customers

- Execute thorough root cause analysis and deliver results

- Successfully operate and influence in a cross-functional capacity

- Data mine by leveraging SQL/Python to influence key business decisions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- 5+ years of supply chain experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
