A FinTech client in Hillsboro, OR is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team. This role is a permanent direct hire role. This team is looking for someone who can provide strategic evaluation and guidance for the design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of all compute, storage, and backup environments. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer will give recommendations and strategies in projects related to system implementations, upgrades, and migrations involving multiple teams. Some travel will be involved with this role including travel to Las Vegas and quarterly team meetings in Portland, OR.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years of experience in systems roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership position.

* Expert-level knowledge of Windows operating systems, with additional proficiency in Linux being advantageous.

* Strong experience with enterprise-level infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, storage, and networking.

* Proven experience in implementing solutions that support High Availability, Data Center Resiliency, and Business Continuity.

* Familiarity with the following tools and technologies is strongly preferred: Windows Server,Exchange/M365, Cohesity, PureStorage, VMware ESXi, LogicMonitor, Ivanti Service Manager.

* Demonstrated ability to lead complex IT projects from conception to completion.

* Ability to mentor more junior people on the team.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

* Ability to travel to Las Vegas quarterly.

* Background in FinTech/FinOps.

* 90 minutes from Data Center in Hillsboro.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, CompTIA Security+, etc., are desired.

* Background in Financial space.
