Our Houston client, in the oil and gas industry is looking for a Systems Engineer to join the team.

Skills needed:

  • Windows Administration - In depth experience administering Windows servers and infrastructure, managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, networking, security, patching etc. Most enterprises still run large Windows environments. Linux knowledge will be helpful.
  • Virtualization - Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere/vCenter for managing enterprise-scale VM infrastructure. Experience with Hyper-V. Ensuring availability, performance, scalability.
  • Enterprise Architecture - Understanding of enterprise infrastructure components - directory services, identity management, ESB, middleware, databases, mainframes, storage systems. Experience designing redundancies, high availability architecture, disaster recovery for enterprise systems and integrating with cloud.
  • Cloud Platform Expertise - Deep knowledge of major cloud platforms like Azure, and GCP. Understanding cloud architectures, services, security, compliance, and best practices.
  • Networking & Security - Hands-on expertise with network protocols, VPNs, firewalls, access controls, encryption, vulnerability testing, and keeping architecture secure. Staying up-to-date on threats.
