Tyler Technologies is looking for a Sr. Test Engineer in Plano, TX to perform the following job duties:
Communicate information in the form of User Stories that support user needs, program functions, test cases, and steps required to develop or modify systems. Use of data modeling, database concepts, and SQL Queries. Troubleshooting/triaging and solving user issues and suggesting UX improvements.
Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to the junior members of the software test team. Review work to ensure compliance and quality. Develop and maintain automated regression suites/packages to be compliant with changing requirements and features. Identify and document software defects in the issue-tracking system and proactively communicate with software developers and other relevant parties. Identify new procedures, methods, and/or tools to improve the efficiency of the QA process. Validate written documentation for accuracy and completion. Document technical issues and solutions (using Confluence). Work on multitenancy deployment planning and assisting with deployments using AWS. Work with various source code and CI/CD management tools like Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket. Work with AWS services such as CLI, ECS, EC2, SSM, SQS, and CloudWatch for testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and deployment purposes. Write OpenSearch queries for testing and investigating issues. Use Hangfire dashboard for application monitoring and testing. Write test automation scripts using C# and NUnit testing framework using Visual Studio. Work on User Acceptance Testing with clients as needed. Coordinate with the product leads, engineering team, and implementation team to solve day-to-day technical problems. Implement and verify security policies and procedures in accordance with State's court regulations, standards, and laws. Must be willing to work 2 days per week in office with remaining days from home/virtual which would be within commuting distance of the office (Plano, Texas). The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications or closely related field or foreign equivalent and 3 years of software test engineering experience. Experience working with various source code and CI/CD management tools like Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket; testing and automating APIs and UIs (Postman); writing SQL (MySQL); SQL tools like SSMS, SQL Profiler, SQL agent jobs; experience with AWS services such as CLI, ECS, EC2, SSM, SQS, and CloudWatch for testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and deployment purposes; writing test automation scripts using C# and NUnit testing framework using Visual Studio. Must have AWS Associate Solution Architect certification.
