Sr. UX Designer

Our big brand consumer client is looking for a Sr. UX Designer to join their team for a remote long-term contract. In this role, you will be the Design Lead for a website by being an open-minded, empathetic advocate for the user. You believe that the best designs are accessible, inclusive and solve real-world problems. You are a self-starter who will collaborate and be able to navigate internal team partnerships, business client relationships and comfortable with the design-to-development hand-off process.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct user research and gather user feedback to inform the design of digital products and services
  • Develop user personas and use cases to guide product design and development
  • Design user interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that communicate design concepts and user flows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, delivery managers, analysts, developers, and other designers to ensure that user needs are met throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Conduct usability and accessibility tests and user interviews to evaluate design concepts and make iterative improvements
  • Analyze user feedback and usage data to continuously improve product design and user experiences
  • Deliver clean, well-organized, and responsive website design in line with digital best practices and brand guidelines
  • Stay current with emerging design trends, technologies, and tools in the UX/UI design field


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Graphic Design or relevant discipline
  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including user research, user testing, and usability evaluation
  • Proficiency in Figma and Figjam and experience with prototyping tools (Figma or Axure)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to present design concepts and user research findings to non-design stakeholders
  • Must have a well-presented portfolio that proves understanding of design laws and principles and includes examples of applicable website designs
  • Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA standards set by W3C.org
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience designing for mobile apps, including task-related UI patterns, user flow diagrams, and task analysis
