The Amazon Prime UX Design team is at the heart of the Prime membership. We innovate and design on behalf of our customers and are relentlessly focused on improving the membership experience to delight customers around the globe. To accomplish that, we are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our team and help shape design strategy and lead design innovation activities. This role requires demonstrated command of user-centered design principles, expertise working with design systems, and a high level of craft in fit-and-finish execution. This individual will possess a bold and creative outlook using data, trends, and high judgment to evolve design practices and uncover new CX design opportunities to delight customers. We also seek a designer who will inspire cross-functional partners to build bar-raising experiences through effective communication and relationship-building.

Key job responsibilities

- Design the CX/UX of multiple products or a single complex product

- Own the end-to-end UX from strategy to tactical execution, to UX sign-off

- Use objective data such as market analysis, customer insights, user research and testing, and experimentation results to inform design

- Facilitate collaboration across a diverse set of global business, product development, and design stakeholders

Define and improve design best practices, and help drive their adoption.

- Present design work to UX partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders.

- Take a holistic, systems-level view of the user experience, synthesizing a diverse set of user needs, behaviors, and mental models

- Craft high-fidelity, pixel-perfect designs and prototypes that bring the UX vision to life with a keen attention to detail

- Advocate for user needs, champion the design process, and educate stakeholders on the value of design thinking

- Stay up-to-date on emerging UX trends, best practices, and technologies to continuously improve the experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of design experience

- Have an available online portfolio

- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

- Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
