Sr. UX Researcher, Amazon Business

Amazon Business is looking for a Senior UX Researcher to help reinvent how employees buy for work.
Businesses buy more than $1 trillion of everything from paper clips to DNA sequencers in the US alone. Launched in 2015, Amazon Business aims to do for offices, factories, hospitals, schools, and public agencies what Amazon.com did for everyday consumers-make buying easier, faster, and more efficient.
As a Senior UX Researcher, you'll join a fun, growing global team of user experience experts taking a fresh-eyed look at the complex world of business purchasing and trying to make it easier and more intuitive for everyone from receptionists to CEOs.
We're looking for an enthusiastic researcher to explore the world of business customers and generate insights that connect product experiences to business customers. Your focus will cover all aspects of UX research, from learning more about our customers to uncover problems that need to be solved to validating the impact of our designs. You will work with other UX researchers to build the skills of the entire UX team to create a research-driven organization.

Key job responsibilities
• Plan and execute research a wide variety of research activities with customers with a focus on quantitative and qualitative studies.
• Generate insights from business analytics and customer feedback.
• Generate ideas on new or more efficient ways to answer questions that we have about customers.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to solve problems with data.
• Oversee research projects conducted by outside vendors.
• Work across all of Amazon to drive better research practices and bring attention to business customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in the field of research and/or design
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience across both qualitative and quantitative research methods
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in B2B or B2C e-commerce or financial services
Ability to use research to influence strategic direction-and the portfolio to prove it
Experience with continuous delivery and an understanding of how to impact design and product decisions in a fast-moving and fast-changing development environment
Broad knowledge of research methodologies and the proven ability to execute the right methodology to get the needed result
A deep understanding of UX research, agile UX, and user-centered design
Master's degree in HCI or related field
Interest in data visualization and dashboards

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
