We are seeking a highly motivated accounting individual to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reporting processes. This position will work from our St. Louis Corporate office located at One City Place Suite. 400 St. Louis, MO 63141 .

In this role as Staff Accountant, you will be expected to, among other tasks:
  • Document and record all cash inflows and outflows accurately to the general ledger.
  • Proactively and independently investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities in cash transactions.
  • Collaborate with various departments and external partners to gather financial information to properly record and understand cash transactions.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Perform responsibilities in compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
  • Provide support during financial and bank audits by providing cash-related documentation and information.
  • Drive internal process improvements and execute corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team to create and manage cash budgets as needed.
  • Preparation of internal account reconciliations
  • Maintain organized financial records and clearly communicate financial information to upper management to support strategic decision making.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in leading the preparation and execution of the monthly financial accounting close process.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting - CPA a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years accounting experience.
  • Ability to accurately define problems, access data, establish facts, solve problems, draw conclusions, provide solutions, and make meaningful recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Very strong Excel skills, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and driving for deadlines.
