Staff Assistant, Event Staffing

Department: Operations Planning and Integration Direct Supervisor: Manager, Event Staffing Status: Part-time Summary: The Staff Assistant of Event Staffing will assist in the recruitment and hiring processes for event day staff at Hard Rock Stadium to support Miami Dolphins games, the Miami Open, the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, University of Miami Hurricanes games, concerts, soccer matches, and more. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively and have keen attention to detail. This role supports all campus operations departments. Location: This is a part-time/hourly position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate resumes and virtual interviews for open campus operations team member roles.
• Manage the onboarding process for new team members, overseeing documentation, background checks, personal information, and department-specific training schedules.
• Assist in preparing new team members for event days, including communication with staff, credential printing, and ensuring delivery of staff responsibilities.
• Review timecards, ABI messages, accurately record call-offs, and adjust schedules as needed for part-time team members during major events.
• Represent Hard Rock Stadium at local job fairs and community hiring events to attract potential candidates.
• Monitor team member inboxes to address inquiries related to scheduling, system access, payroll matters, etc.
• Support ad hoc projects as requested

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
• Proficiency in English is required, Spanish is a plus.
• Experience using an HRIS a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to take initiative and thrive in a critical, fast-paced environment is required.
• Willingness to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
