Student Counseling Center

The Division of Student Life at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for the position Staff Clinical Psychologist in the Student Counseling Center. This is a full-time exempt staff position.

The Position: Within the UT Student Counselling Center, performs all functions of a campus comprehensive counseling center team member. The staff clinical psychologist provides brief assessment, crisis intervention, and traditional forms of psychotherapy (individual, groups, couples) while also engaging with the campus community via outreach and consultation services with faculty, staff, students, and families around mental health concerns. Psychologists in the center also provide training/supervision for master's and doctoral level students in mental health professions, and advanced clinical training/supervision for interns in the center's internship in psychology.

What We Require:

Education:Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

Experience: One year of full time (or equivalent part time) experience providing counseling services, including college student populations. Experience must include clinical assessment and intervention with students in emotional crisis; providing individual and group counseling/psychotherapy; outreach programming on topics related to college student mental health; and providing consultation concerning college student mental health.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Licensed as a Psychologist, Health Service Provider in the State of Tennessee, or ability to obtain license;

• Ability to provide clinical supervision to students in mental health graduate training

• Ability to fulfill job functions in a culturally competent manner.
