Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
Required Hours: 40hrs/week. 8 hour shifts 5 days per week. Hours will predominately be 7aa-3:30pm. One weekend every 4 th weekend. Two holidays per year on a rotating basis.
Experience in oncology and/or infusion center pharmacy required
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pharmacy.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
N/A
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia.
