Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Frisco is searching to hire a Staff Pharmacist to work 9p - 7a, 7 on/7 off.

Job Summary:

The Staff Pharmacist reviews, interprets and evaluates physician orders for appropriateness against the available patient information and current therapy in regard to allergies potential drug interactions, etc. Dispenses medications in accordance with federal, state regulations and hospital policies. Provides direct supervision of Pharmacy Technician(s) performing support functions.

Required Skills:

Position Qualifications:
  • Have five (5) years hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Have two years experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • The pharmacist must be currently registered by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy in the state of Texas.
  • Demonstrate competent administrative, leadership and management, demonstrating knowledge of the development needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
  • Must have NICU experience or complete NICU training within 90 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of TJC and Medicare standards affecting pharmacy.
  • Must possess ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel, medical staff and the public.
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Must have ability to act as liaison between personnel and management.

Organizational Relationships:
  • Supervises: Pharmacy Technician(s)
  • Contacts / Interacts with: Physicians, all clinical department staff, patients, and administration.
