Tesla is seeking a passionate individual to join our Wireless Hardware team. We support Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, GNSS, and emerging technologies. As a RF Desense Engineer at Tesla, you will contribute to the architecture and product level design integration of next generation wireless radio solutions in all fleets and Robot.

Responsibilities
  • Broad expertise with Multi-Radio Coexistence performance and RF Desense optimization
  • Designing Cellular RF hardware board as impedance matching, layout review, bring up prototypes and Co-ex validate with BT/WiFi/GNSS
  • Define RF Hardware requirement, design and implement in factory test
  • Work with RF module/components suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize RF performance
  • Contributing to vehicle-level systems engineering: architecture issues relating to communications, functionality trade-offs, grounding and EMC strategy, user interface


Requirements
  • Strong RF/Microwave circuit design background
  • Experience with Wireless (Cellular/WiFi/BT/GNSS) RF board/IC development and Multi-Radio Co-existence
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, verification and manufacturing support
  • Successful track record of working closely with Mechanical Engineering and Firmware teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated technical depth and breadth in RF system analysis and design for high volume product development
  • RF circuits design experience preferred (minimum 5 years): LTE, UMTS, WiFi/BT, GPS
  • Minimum of one lifecycle in RF board development for high-volume manufacturing and required test methods or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in designing for environmental constraints (temp, humidity, and vibration), regulatory compliance and product debug (EMC/EMI, ESD, transients, etc)
  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix organization across multiple engineering disciplines including firmware, QA and Manufacturing teams

    • Expected Compensation

      $84,000 - $300,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits
