STAFF SERVICES MANAGER I
The General Services Department is accepting applications for a F ull-time/Permanent Staff Services Manager I position; as we are anticipating a vacancy. This position supervises professional, technical, supervisory and clerical staff in carrying out the full range of General Services' tasks in the following areas: Mailroom, Property Control, Clothing and Laundry , Warehouse, Housekeeping, Garage and Transportation, Procurement/Contracts. The incumbent provides expertise in all general services' matters. This position confers with the General Services Director on general policies and procedures with special emphasis on the business services phases of the department. Desirable qualities include budget development, personnel management, Procurement/contract experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Founded in 1875, Napa State Hospital is the only state hospital in Northern California for persons struggling with severe mental illness. Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres. Staff is dedicated and committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective, professional services and specialized programs in an environment that promotes continuous improvements in treatment for individuals with mental disabilities.
