Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Treasurer, the Staff Services Manager I acts as an Administrative Specialist for the Executive Office. Responsible for implementing procurement and contract activities for the office, as well as interacting with Human Resources and/or Accounting as dictated by office needs and requirements. Provides the expertise required to address challenging contractual or procurement issues and adeptly responds to the most complex and sensitive inquiries. Work cooperatively with the office manager (SSM I)in addressing operational issues within the Executive Office. Additionally, serves as a liaison with management, vendors, and customers. Engages in in-depth research to gather pertinent facts for decision-making and recommendations.

Department Information The State Treasurer's Office is a small department located at 901 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. It is just down the street from the State Capitol with public transportation and parking garage options nearby. The building is next to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Park, which is a wonderful place to exercise and enjoy the beautiful landscape during the fair-weathered months. The neighborhood around the building is filled with great dining options, coffee shops, a fitness club, and several day cares.
