As a Staff Software Engineer you will be responsible for providing on-prem and cloud hosted virtual PCs for 30k associates and vendors. Our team is growing as demand increases for cloud-based solutions and services. We are looking for talented candidates who have knowledge, skills, and abilities in on-prem infrastructure management, Horizon (HCS)v2, Azure Cloud IaaS management, multiple environment hypervisor administration.

About Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Manage the CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth and timely delivery of software releases.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Develop and implement security controls and processes to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and DevOps brings new ingenuity ways of working.
• Leveraging tools & channels - Partner with vendors and internal team members to optimize usage of our management systems, existing technologies, and available training.
• Building strategic relationships: Maximize relationships with global tech teams and our customers, ensuring the best possible user experience and establishing a relationship built on trust and transparency.
• Operating with excellence - Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering engineering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
