Piper Companies is hiring a Account Manager on the Health & Sciences staffing team our Cary, NC office. We are a rapidly growing staffing firm where you will be able to make an immediate impact on our business and earn generous, uncapped commission up to 20% of spread!
At this time, we are exclusively considering candidates with demonstrable new business development experience (a.k.a. "bringing in new logos") specifically for a staffing agency, rather than candidates with non-staffing sales experience, recruitment-focused experience, or solely account management/farming experience. Priority will also be given to candidates specifically with Life Sciences staffing experience.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager:
- Build new business relationships with potential clients in the Life Sciences vertical.
- Sell Piper's staffing services (using a variety of methods, both virtual and in-person) to hiring managers.
- Guide and lead your recruiting team on best practices for identifying talent, and screen recruiter submissions to job requisitions prior to sharing with clients.
- Act as the "face of the company" in the North Carolina staffing market.
- Utilize various Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and sales/staffing tools like Salesforce, TargetRecruit, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Bloomberg Government, Dice, Monster, to generate a pipeline and territory, set meetings with prospective clients, negotiating prices and services, and more.
Qualifications of the Account Manager:
- 1+ year of experience performing new business development in an agency staffing environment
- Desire and ability to develop new business virtually and in-person rather than exclusively manage accounts or a VMS system
- Competitiveness and drive to succeed in a metrics-driven, commission-earning environment
- Willingness to work on-site in our Cary office 3 days per week (100% remote candidates will not be considered)
- Experience with CRM or ATS systems such as Salesforce, TargetRecruit, Bullhorn, JobDiva, iCIMS, or others

- Salary Range: $52,500-$65,000/year, depending on experience (potential flexibility for experienced candidates with 3+ years of demonstrable new business development success for a staffing agency)
