Minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting, in the Consumer Electronics, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Basic understanding of the video and entertainment industry, key platforms and trends (e.g., FAST channel growth, D2C and CTV/OTT distribution), and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Passion for emerging video sectors.

The US Media and Entertainment team within Global Partnerships works to drive business growth and profitability through Google's platforms (e.g. Google Ad Manager), products, and insights for its partners. We are media owners across broadcast, entertainment, video distributors, FAST, Telcos, TV OEMs, and MVPDs. The team focuses on current and future business growth opportunities by building trusted advisor relationships with C-Suite and executives at partner organizations, and deeply understanding the industry that the partner operates in to help drive business growth opportunities and areas of focus for the partner and Google.

As Strategic Partner Manager, Tier 1 Video, you will manage new and existing ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with emerging CTV apps and video partners to foster development of the streaming ecosystem, while also cultivating new relationships to identify our next set of strategic partners. You will build long-lasting relationships with senior executives and operational leads at these emerging partners while staying close to industry trends to help shape the strategy of our team.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $82,500-$121,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Source leads, develop relationships, build business cases, and close new business with emerging video publishers. Collaborate with department leadership to drive feedback to the video strategy and prioritize the pipeline.
  • Develop deep understanding of partner's business, priorities, and challenges and work with Google leaders and managers on overall partner strategy.
  • Manage and grow business, product adoption, and relationships with video partners.
  • Develop renewal and product business strategy, discuss term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, business agreement discussions, and compliance processes.
  • Understand the full scope of partner business generation and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used and how ad business fits into larger business strategy.
