Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing and Procurement:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for assigned commodities.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
• Identify gaps within existing supply base and identify new strategic suppliers
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
• Lead and facilitate quarterly business reviews on strategic suppliers

Market Analysis and Strategy:

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supply chain issues.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and work with the production team to forecast material needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays and excess inventory.

Quality and Compliance:

• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased materials meet required specifications and standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in procurement activities.

Cost Management:

• Analyze and report on cost savings and procurement performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to understand material requirements and resolve any supply-related issues.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and product lifecycle management.
• Ability to develop internal/external relationships and compile, curate and present data to influence and inform key decision makers

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and market trends to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency within SAP (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and market dynamics.

Benefits start day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, PAID Maternity/Paternity leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Long-term and Short-term disability.

Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000 per year, depending on experience.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
