Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 1 year of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C ).


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
  • Experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.
  • Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments through solid data intuition and business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.


About the job

As the Strategy and Operations Associate, you will play a critical role within the Americas Performance Go-To-Market organization by providing data solutions and insights that drive business activation, faster and smarter decision making, and influence future product commercialization strategy. You'll influence decisions and focus areas for the Large Customer Sales (LCS), and help our senior leaders make informed decisions to execute efficiently and effectively.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,000-$136,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Transform various data sources into easy to use datasets/dashboards that will be used to drive faster decision making and strategy development across the business. Build and prototype models and dashboards to provide insights at scale.
  • Produce business-critical insights (analytical and strategic) that help improve our operating acurracy, under the guidance of more senior team members.
  • Perform custom product analyses and make recommendations that inform day-to-day product strategy and sales activation based on key data insights and trends.
  • Collaborate with various Operations teams to ensure alignment of metrics, reporting and operating objectives across teams, regions, products, etc.
