Structural Professional Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Professional Engineer specialized in the Structural space. The day-to-day work primarily consists of designing (~60%) in addition to the mentorship of EIT's (15%) and administrative work (25%). This role will involve designing multi-story buildings, typically with 1-5 levels. Design includes deep pile foundations and shallow bearing foundations. Collaboration with architects will be regular and there will be about 2-3 projects going on at a time. Projects have a wide variety in their nature with clients being the Department of Defense (DoD), private, municipal, and more. Work is hybrid, onsite in Virginia Beach 3 days a week. A minimum travel of 5% is to be expected.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ Years of Experience in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer / PE
- Familiarity for building codes and standards for steel and concrete
- Experience designing multi story buildings
- Experience with deep pile foundations and shallow bearing foundations
- Experience with hand calculations to verify computer output

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- Experience with or exposure to Geotechnical engineering
