Cincinnati, Ohio
Employer: Jacobs
Industry: Civil/Structural
Salary: Competitive
Job type: Full-Time
If you are ready to bridge the gap between our world and our people, join Jacobs. Let's build for a brighter future together. Jacobs is much more than just a traditional engineering company.
We consistently receive high rankings from Engineering News-Record (ENR) in many classifications, including the categories of Top Transportation Design Firms, Top Highway Design Firms, Top Bridge Design Firms, and our overall #1 ranking in both the Top 500 Design Firms and Top 100 Pure Designer.
As a senior level engineer, you will serve in a lead technical role on design projects within our Transportation Market. You will carry out and lead complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects, primarily bridges. You will have the opportunity to provide day-to-day leadership and technical expertise on some of the most high-profile and impactful transportation infrastructure projects in the country. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing and ensuring that project quality, schedule, and budget requirements are met while simultaneously building trusted relationships with our teaming partners and clients. As a leader within our project delivery team, you will also serve as a key point of contact between our clients and our global team of bridge engineers. This critical role enables Jacobs to provide our clients with the most appropriate and necessary level of knowledge and experience to meet any of their needs.
The candidate will possess knowledge and experience in:
• Planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development, bridge inspections, and report writing.
• Must be comfortable being viewed as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design and have a proven background of technical leadership on structural transportation projects.
• Successful project management experience directing and coordinating the activities on transportation engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
• Establishing work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of a project and arranging for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Directing and coordinating the activities of Project Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Should be active in technical societies and be available to attend meetings or events outside normal working hours.
• Experience in a teamwork environment and leading a team of engineers is required.
At Jacobs, we're partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. By joining Jacobs, you'll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.
