Position Summary:

The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) designs and delivers opportunities for professional development, supports academic success and builds community for students within the VCU School of Business.

The VCU School of Business, Office of Student Engagement seeks a highly motivated and qualified Student Engagement Coordinator. This role works under limited supervision, making complex decisions independently and referring unprecedented issues to the Director of Student Engagement. The OSE Coordinator reports to the Director of Student Engagement in the Business Student Success Unit.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Support strategic goals and the university mission by providing daily administration of several programs and initiatives within the office of student engagement.
  
• Implement operational goals established by the director and administrative senior leadership.
  
• Perform professional work requiring an in-depth knowledge of the office of student engagement.
  
• Design and execute programs for student groups, develop and enhance resources for student groups, collaborate with student leaders, and assess programmatic efforts to ensure efficiency and adherence to policies.
  
• Design and execute programs and initiatives such as networking mixers; departmental collaborations; campus partner collaborations, the School of Business Awards Ceremony, and events during VCU's weeks of welcome.
  
• Collect data to measure the success of events and initiatives, conducting after action reviews for future planning and program improvement.
  
• Lead strategic marketing campaigns to promote OSE events, initiatives and departmental opportunities to students on a school-wide level through various communication channels.
  
• May provide leadership and oversight of undergraduate student staff to successfully execute all responsibilities.
  
• May provide fiscal administration of the departmental purchase card.
  
• Other duties or projects as assigned by the Director of Student Engagement.
