Are you looking for an opportunity to improve your critical\rthinking and fundamental skills? Come join us at MedStar Washington\rHospital Center for our Summer 2023 Student Nurse Extern Cohort!

The Nurse Extern Winter 2024 Cohort will begin on December 16, 2024 and conclude\ron January 10, 2025. There will be a mandatory skills day on Friday, December 20, 2024 (attendance is\rrequired on this day). You will\rbe working 36 to 40 hours per week. After successful completion of the cohort,\ryou will have the opportunity to remain on staff, in a flexible position,\rleading up to graduation.

Official\r Start Date: Monday, 12/16
Required\r In-Person Skills Day: Friday, 12/20
Date\r range for entire 4 - week program: 12/16 - 1/10 (Must be available up to 40 hours per week,\r with no conflicts, from 12/20 through 1/10)

Qualifications for\rposition:

Education:
Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program and in good standing. \rCompleted at least one semester of medical-surgical clinical.

Experience:
None

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or\rAmerican Red Cross) required.
