The Inpatient Neurology Unit is active in Progressive Medical and Surgical patient care. Our nurses provide care to a highly acute population of neurological and neurosurgical patients in a fast-paced environment. Majority of the patients arrive through the Emergency Department or as a stepdown from our Trauma Neuro Intensive Care Unit.

- Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
- Observe patient status and responses. Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff.
- Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED required. Enrolled in Nursing program.
