Position Highlights:
  • Work location: Bellin Hospital, 744 S. Webster Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301
  • Work environment: Our Ortho/Neuro unit is a 30 bed unit. The ortho surgery population is primarily total joint replacements (hips, knees, and shoulders). Most of these surgeries discharge the day of surgery and will eventually transition over to the surgical center. If you are interested in the surgical center there will be the opportunity to be cross-trained. The neurosurgery population includes surgeries on the spine, neck, and brain. We often see fusions/laminectomies/decompressions, and brain surgeries such as craniotomies and tumor resections. For our medical population we specialize in ortho and neuro patients. For ortho, we take care of all of the fractures that come into the hospital including surgical site infections and other post op complications.
  • Salary range is based on relevant years of experience.
Shift Hours:

Multiple shift options available, including Casual Part Time and Full Time. We offer flexible scheduling with options for day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts. Weekend rotations will include a modified block schedule dependent on availability, with every other weekend and every third weekend blocks

You will have the opportunity to work both 8 hour and 12 hour shifts
Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of an RN: Responsible for providing quality care and monitoring of patients. Maintains safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; maintains properly functioning equipment and availability of equipment, supplies and drugs. Assists physicians; informs physicians of relevant information; provides support to families. Participates in an assistance capacity to RN, but cannot perform the functions of assessment and evaluation in their entirety. The position of Student Nurse Technician will only be available up to six months from the date of graduation.

Qualifications:
Transcripts from appropriate college indicating school status or copy of diploma required.

Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • RN student entering senior year of a four- year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program
  • RN student entering final semester of a three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program
  • RN student entering final seven months of a 15-month Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program
  • RN student entering final semester of content for an Associate Degree RN Program
