Responsibilities

  • Engage in a programming portfolio that includes a workshop/speakers series and common reads focused on leadership development, leadership learning, leadership literature, and a Leadership One-Day Conference for students/faculty/staff/community members.
  • Convene and coordinate a campus-wide committee of Leadership educators and program staff aimed at aligning FSU leadership goals and activities to national leadership recognition/awards.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and manage portfolio of leadership research projects, grants, publications, and presentation opportunities for Center staff and campus partners to elevate and expand leadership impact of FSU.
  • Provide curriculum consultation and revisions to existing Center programs and courses to ensure cutting-edge and relevant leadership education.
  • Serve on department, division, and campus-wide committees as assigned. Initiates and supports creative ideas to move the Center for Leadership & Service forward in its mission and vision, along with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
• Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives.
• Ability to train and supervise employees.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of student program planning, development and evaluation.
• Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
• Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated starting salary in the low $40,000s; commensurate education and experience.
