Provide studio or live sound reinforcement and technical support for School of Music (SOM) events. Student employees will work directly with SOM staff and faculty to facilitate concerts and recitals. Students will either work with live sound reinforcement to support live SOM events, or they will work as studio monitors in the SOM recording studio.

WORK HOURS
12-18 hours per week. Schedule is directly related to event hours, various class times throughout the day, and special events in the evening and on weekends.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
- Assist with concerts, recitals, events and recordings
- Set up, tear down and mix of live events
- Record student recitals
- Assist during student recording sessions
- Ability and willingness to maintain a professional attitude with peers
- Maintain a level of organization and cleanliness with equipment and rooms
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Minimum:
- Friendly and willing to serve
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive
- Experience with studio or live sound reinforcement
- Basic understanding of signal flow regarding the world of audio production
- Basic experience with audio mixing consoles or other similar types of equipment
Preferred:
- Preferred upper-class or graduate REP or Publishing and Producing major
- Experience mixing, setting up, and tearing down audio equipment in a local church, or experience with recording and producing
- Familiar with a Digital Audio Workstation, as well as ProPresenter
- Work in a team environment
- Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, punctuality, and organization
