Summary:
Summer Research internships are offered for high school graduates, college students, and individuals with a Bachelor's degree to engage in research projects with Rush faculty in basic science, clinical research, and community service arenas. Students accepted in the program are provided a paid position to work part-time during the summer. The individual who holds this position exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures

Required Job Qualifications:
• High school graduate required. College students in good academic standing will also be considered, as
well as individuals with a B.S. degree in Engineering.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, set goals, and manage complicated tasks.
• Demonstrate professionalism in dealing with confidential information.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Experience in motion analysis and/or computational simulation
• Experience in programming in MATLAB, Python, or R.

Responsibilities:
• Performs biomedical research under the supervision of a designated manager and a specific research
project.
• Performs computational modeling including musculoskeletal modeling and segmentation.
• Assists in data collection and analysis in the motion analysis lab.
• Maintains a thorough lab notebook of all experiments performed.
• Summarizes the data and presents it to the group.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
