Position Purpose

The Study Abroad Student Ambassador position is a flexible opportunity for students who would like to assist the study abroad office with outreach and support for students interested in studying abroad through UCM . The following duties will be assigned with preference for unique strengths and opportunities for growth per each individual.

COMMUNICATION
  • Email
  • Social media messaging
  • Study Abroad introductory advising
  • Presentations and speaking
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
  • Planning and preparation
  • Staffing tables
  • Assisting with decorations
  • Sharing information and guiding participants
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
  • Assisting applicants with paperwork
  • Generating
ADVISING
  • Share resources and prior experiences as appropriate
  • Support students in advocating for and making decisions for their study abroad goals
Education & Formal Training

High school diploma or equivalent

Computer Skills

Word-Processing, Spreadsheet

Experience

Study abroad or international travel experience
Experience with Microsoft Office, Banner, or other databases preferred but not required
Interest in sharing and exploring opportunities in global education
Appreciation for privacy and professionalism

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position:

Driver's license

Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality
