JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Advisor II serves as a key financial resource for the Finance Team. This person provides the financial analysis required to support the goals and objectives of Baylor Scott & White Health. The Financial Advisor II provides financial analysis support to administrators, department directors, and other team members to assist in the efficient and cost-effective operations of BSWH.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Analyzes historical operating budget trends for assigned areas, the 5-year financial operating historical analysis includes statistics, payer mix, payments, capital, etc.

• Provides ongoing budget vs. actual revenue and expense variance analysis including insights into improvement opportunities within the organization.

• Develops and produces management reports, including the creation of new dashboards and visual analytics. A foundation in data analytics is recommended.

• Serves as a liaison between the assigned area, Decision Support Services, and other finance areas of BSWH.

• Maintains professional growth through participation in educational programs, professional organizations and activities to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and development

• Conducts finance training for BSWH personnel as directed.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for accuracy and process improvement. Advanced skills in Excel and BI tools such as Power BI and MicroStrategy are recommended.

Location/Facility - Dallas, TX (although this position is hybrid or full remote; the position will require the ability to work onsite at the BSWH Administrative Building located in Dallas as needed);

EDUCATION: Bachelor'

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years experience in finance analytics and/or data analytics required
