Patient Population:Heart, Lung, and Vascular
Shift: Full Time / 3/12's / Night
Patient Ratios: TELE 1:4 PCU: 1:3, ICU 1:2
Type of Cases: ICU/PCU/TELE We care for a wide cardiovascular patient population including post-TAVR, post-Robotic Lung Surgery, post-Vascular Surgery, EKOS, LVADs, CRRT, IABP, STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, Cardiac Arrhythmias, DVTs/Pulmonary Embolism, PVD/PAD. (Unit does not recover post open-heart patients or manage Impella devices)
Required Experience: Minimum (1) one year (prefer 2 years) recent full-time Telemetry/EKG experience, knowledge of basic hemodynamics and cardiac medications (experience with cardiac drips preferred).
*RN's w/o ICU experience should expect working up to 1 year at Tele/CVPCU level prior to leveling up to ICU

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
MAJOR - Nursing
EXPERIENCE: Minimum (1) one year (prefer 2 years) recent full-time Telemetry/EKG experience, knowledge of basic hemodynamics and cardiac medications (experience with cardiac drips preferred).
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Job Summary

What You'll Do
- You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
- Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
- Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
- You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
- Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
- You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
