The Baylor Heart Hospital Denton recently acquired Horizon Medical Center Denton, located next to / share parking lot with Baylor Heart Denton

A newer state-of-the-art LTAC in-patient rehabilitation hospital serving patients with highest of standards in patient care and focused rehabilitation. We are looking for compassionate, experienced Registered Nurses to join our inpatient team.

ON SITE HIRING EVENT - Weds Oct 2nd 8:30am-5:00pm

Currently Scheduling Virtual Interviews - Thur Oct 1st & Thur Oct 3rd from 9:00am-5:00pm

Location: 2813 South Mayhill Rd Denton, TX 76208

Shift: PRN Nights | 7pm-7am | Minimum of 4 shifts every 6 weeks scheduled (can work more) | 2 minor & 1 major holiday per year

Start Date: Oct 21st, 2024 (cut off date 10/04)

Ratios: starting out 1:3 (possibly 1:4 as staff and census increases over months)

Patient Cases: All adult, post-acute care hospitalizations requiring minimum 3 hours daily of focused rehabilitation therapy; Physical, Occupational, Speech, etc. Patients are stable in status and will receive continued bedside medical care under physician lead managed care. All patients discharge to home from rehab site.

Note: RN staff and patients are supported by experienced LVN's in unit

Required Experience: Minimum one (1) year of recent bedside Post Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab experience required. Previous post acute care experience is strongly preferred CRRN preferred, not required.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

Qualifications

EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program

MAJOR - Nursing

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)

Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

EXPERIENCE - Candidates MUST have minimum of one (1) year of recent Acute Care, MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab experience required. Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred
