RN Medical Surgical/Telemetry
Shift/Schedule: PRN Day Shift / 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM / plus 1 minor and major holiday per year
Patient Population:Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, Colorectal, Urology, GI), Med/Surg (Urology, GI, Nephrology, Cardiac/Tele, Pulmonary, Geriatrics)
Patient Ratios: 1:5 Number of Beds: 40
Required Experience: CandidateMUST have minimum of 2 years of recent, full time Acute Care, Med Surg experience
Department Specifics: Pathway designated, Level III Trauma Center, Primary heart attack center, High performing in quality indicators, Favorable RN and PCT ratios, Charge RN free of patient assignment, Strong employee and physician relationships, 24/7 hospitalist services for patient care needs, Employee self-scheduling, Supportive and collaborative work environment through unit-based council and shared governance, Competitive pay rates with tuition reimbursement and bonus program based on quality initiatives.

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
MAJOR - Nursing
EXPERIENCE: CandidateMUST have minimum of 2 years of recent, full time Acute Care, Med Surg experience.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

- Observe indicators closely, support evidence-based changes with research and hands-on learning.

- Build relationships with boundaries in mind. Focus on managing emotional and physical pain to promote healing and reduce suffering.
- Facilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients, families, and nursing staff, ensuring everyone is well-informed.

- Use problem-solving strategies and utilize available resources to support patients, family and staff as part of a systems thinking approach.

- Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
