Job Summary

*This substitute position for the Greater Riverside Area includes the following cities: Riverside, Corona, Jurupa, and Moreno Valley.* The position of Permit Teacher - Early Head Start is under general supervision and plans and participates in the care, instruction, and supervision of children in a Head Start Infant/Toddler program; assists in the day-to-day operation of the center; and performs other job-related duties as required, i.e., parent involvement. *WE CAN PROVIDE INTERVIEWS VIA ZOOM*

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE Completion of 175 days of experience in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program; working at least three hours per day within the last four years is required and must be verified. (This experience may include paid and/or volunteer work.) EDUCATION Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required. A Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field is preferred. **MUST HAVE SIX SEMESTER UNITS IN AN INFANT/TODDLER COURSE VERIFIED BY TRANSCRIPTS** CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: Possession of a valid California Children's Center/Child Development Permit authorizing instruction in a Child Development Center Program and Infant/Toddler. (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Child Development Teacher Permit.) You must provide copies of credentials as required for the position with your application materials.

Both letters must be hand-signed by the author and must have a date on the letter that is within the last two years prior to the date your application is submitted. One letter from a supervisor is preferred, but not required)
